There’s a commercial out now that seems to suggest getting a mortgage loan is as easy as pressing a button on your phone.

But, it’s not. In fact, it’s not even close ...nor should it be.

Buying a house is most likely the single greatest financial decision anyone will make in their lifetime. With that in mind, should it be THAT easy to get a loan? Wouldn’t you want to know all the details of the loan, the process, and the person making the credit decision before you “pushed the button” on such a huge financial obligation?

We know that we would.

The Payne Mortgage Team with Summit Funding aims to make the mortgage loan experience a great one. Our goal ties perfectly into Summit’s overall mission, which is:

“...provide a better way, and a better experience overall, for those securing a home loan. To that end, we strive daily to build a company in which the customer genuinely comes first. Each of our home loan experts are dedicated to providing quality mortgage services, deeper personal relationships, and real results. Easier said than done, we commit ourselves to this level of excellence, do the right thing, and show others that we genuinely care. In every sense, we are part of something greater than ourselves and that’s what makes Summit Funding unique in a crowded marketplace.

We are a group of people dedicated to improving our communities and changing people’s lives.”

Ryan became a loan officer in the summer of 2021. He has a strong passion for connecting with people, and he believes being a loan officer is one of the main ways he can expand on that calling.

After graduating from Ravenwood High School in Brentwood, TN, Ryan attended Lee University on a baseball scholarship. As the starting first baseman for the Flames, he earned All-Conference, All-GSC Tournament, and All-American honors. In addition, he helped lead the Flames to win their first GSC regular-season championship during the 2021 season.

Ryan’s greatest joy in life is spending time with his wife, Emily. They have been married since the fall of 2019. Along with spending time outdoors together, they love spending quality time with friends and family and growing those relationships. Ryan and Emily plan on staying in Cleveland, where they want to start a family.
